Welcome to St. Henry's Grade Four 21st Century Learning Blog!


We are currently exploring Medieval Times in our classrooms and have begun this exploration with a very important 

"I Wonder..." question!


Hey! What are the Big Ideas to Investigate?





  • The major features of daily life and social organization in Medieval European societies from about 500 to 1500 C.E.
  • How medieval societies compare to aspects of Canadian society today.
  • How major events and other influences of the era shaped Medieval society.

We started off with an introductory peek into life in the Medieval Times.



As we took a peek, this is what we were looking for...


What are the men, women, and children doing?
What are they wearing?
How are they speaking?
What foods do you see?
What jobs are they doing?
What do their homes look like?
What was the landscape like?
Where in the world is this?
Do you see any natural resources?
What tools are they using?
What games are they playing?
What sounds do you hear?

It leads to way more questions!
